OK, after weeks of agonizing on whether or not to give up my 2005 Acura RL for the new Lexus RX, I finally pulled the trigger yesterday. Having visiting this forum for many months prior to my purchase, I already knew about the nav features that are disabled when the vehicle is moving and how to use the hidden override function accessed from the volume control menu. But apparently this override does not affect the audio. For example, I cannot use the View Folder/File function on audio CD's (i.e. track list) when moving, it is disabled Has anyone been able to override this? What a pain!

I bought the RX350 for my wife last month and ever since then I have been playing around with all the fetures on the nav and bluetooth.

I like the override feature and showed my wife it but told her never to hit any of the other options in the maintenance menu as it could screw the entire system up.

She said she will never use the override feature because I scared her about the cost of fixing the nav.

The main reason I wanted to override the nav was for the Audio page. I wanted to be able to change the songs of my MP3 disks as I am able to do without overriding the nav for the XM and radio.

This was one feature that really upsets me. Why can you change the info for XM and radio but not the MP3 disks. DUMB if you ask me.

I have yet to find a fix for this expect to cut wires which I won't do.

Just curious how you liked you Acura RL. I almost bought one last January. I absolutely loved the car but my wife liked the idea of the bigger interior in the RX. Did you have a good trade in value on that? I understand they were selling like hot cakes.
