I think Lextranny is talking about TSIB # TC005-03 (which has been updated several times since its first creation). That's a software fix for the transmission to address two main issues: abrupt shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear @ 20-30 MPH, and hesitation when you step on the gas. The trans computer is optimized for fuel economy, so it's overthinking when to downshift for more power. That creates a hesitation if you're pressing the gas harder but not completely floored.

I don't know if TC005-03 applies to model year 2006. Last I saw it was for 2004 and 2005.

For 2007, they fixed it by putting in a bigger motor!

thanks for the info, i guess this is enough to have idea whats goin on to my car . it could be the last part of the "tranny issue" .

Rxdriver is right on that TSB. I myself haven't done it yet. I got use to it. (not too bad). I hear other people say that it doesn't make a difference. Plus, the draw back is....once you apply the TSB, and you don't like it (perhaps is worst) you can't go back to they way it was before. Do a search here on tranny hesitation. You will see other people replies that did it.

whta happened was , when i press the gas pedal and accelerate ,i could feel the engine rough noise with little vibration but when i am running everything smooth . the only time i could feel is when i stop or idle then press the gas pedal and accelerate...

It makes an amazingly good difference, and you'll notice it. Without the TSB, its dangerous if you coast down an onramp and then try to accelerate /merge into moving traffic. Before the TSB, she would just sit there for a couple seconds. Now the car accelerates when asked.

I didnt see any change in gas mileage either.

What's the TSB that was applied to your car? That's great. It sounds like perhaps they fixed it now?? Prior TSB's didn't make any difference.

The original one made no difference but the TC005-03 from May 05(?) worked, which was recently mentioned again in 2006. I think it kept the same id
