Hi everyone,
I have a 2008 RX350 AWD and recently found a faint grinding noise under the engine and when I take my foot off the gas pedal a loud engine noise comes as if there's massive leak in the exhaust system. Also I found the power is decreasing in the SUV all the time. Took to the dealer (since I have 63K miles) and it took them 2 days to diagnose and found the problem.
A worn out bearing in the front transaxle that also let to premature wearing of the components. The dealer only tried to replace the bearing but the Lexus-Japan, instructed so replace the entire AWD transmission (that usually cost around $5100, this was the first reported problem in the transmission as they said). After about a week later, received the SUV and now it runs as if its brand new. The service at the dealer was excellent as they gave me a loaner of my choice (but not an LS460 though).
So in case if you experience this noise please take your sUV to the nearest Lexus dealer and hope you have the warranty as I didn't have to pay a penny.

The salesman and his Sales Manager, told me they would install a XM satelite radio in my 2007 RX350. However, an XM was no longer available since Sirrius and XM had merged and they had to install a Sirrius instead. Now I had an XM installed in the previous RX and it worked fine. In fact I had two different ones installed because the first one quit working. Reception of the satellite signal for this Sirrius is constantly being interrupted because the roof of the is blocking the satellite signal if the vehicle isn't facing the satellite. Never had that problem with the XM's. I'm pretty sure the problem is caused by the location of the antenna 'button'. The installer placed it on the left side of the dash near the windshield. The antenna for the XM's was placed on the rear of the roof via the back liftdoor and there it was always within sight of the satellite signals.
The Lexus dealer uses a installer that doesn't want to install the antenna where it should be placed so as to avoid interruptions of signal. He's taking the easy way out because it would take him longer to intall it on the roof at the rear.
This really ticks me off.

I'm picking up a new (preowned) 2009 Gold & Ivory tomorrow down in Miami and driving it 1000 miles home. It's pretty loaded up, Nav, Heated Seats, HID, Bluetooth, Satellite and more - with only 22,000 miles - all for $29,000! No accidents or mechanical problems - it has a clean CarFax and was professionally inspected by a 3rd party I hired - since I'm buying from out of state sight unseen (other than photos). The inspector said it looks brand new.
In the area I'm in, dealers would charge $34K for this car so I decided to shop online. 28,000 miles left on the factory warranty (or until 8/2012). I'm looking forward to it!![Woohoo](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/woohoo.gif)

Just purchased a 2004 RX330 AWD with 113K... Good deal and is smoother and more refined than the 2009 Malibu LTZ 3.6 I traded with 41K on it. As nice as this 04 is I will likely be looking into a preowned RX 350 in a year or so.

Hey RXers! Just picked up an '07 RX350 for my wife last night. Have already enjoyed the forum and picked up some good tips and tricks. Hope to become an active contributor as I get into the cleaning and maintaining of the RX.

I don't know how to list my RX350 on here. I don't see a place to do it. Mine is a Flint/Mica with light gray interior. I had a I traded a '99 RX300 with 168,000 miles on it for the 350. I hope it will be as good as the '99 was. I was reluctant to get the Flint/Mica color fearing hard to keep clean. however, it's actually easier to keep clean that the Metallic Bonze '99. One thing I really do not like and it's the navigation system. It is one of the most confusing GPS I've ever experienced. I already had a GARMIN portable and it's very easier to program. But the one from the factory in this 350 is the pits. If it were possible I would have it removed. Updating it did nothing to help.

Will do with the photo's after I wash her. I have to drive 6 miles up a national forest access road to my house. It just snowed 14" last Wed and the road (use the term loosely) has some mud/slush to plow thru (thus the former Jeep vehicle). Kinda impressed with the traction so far...
