The answer to your qestions are yes it will protect the paint and it will not be affected at 80 MPH. What people will not tell you is that the film itself can be damaged. It will scratch and the scratches are nearly impossible to get out. It will also water spot and insome instances they will be permanent. The clear bra on my SL55 became so badly water spotted that I had no choice but to remove it. Nothing is perfect so take your choice--- stone chips or crappy looking film. My take at this point is that I would rather spend the money on a repaint versus having a pile of the film sitting in a ball in my garage.

Premier Mobile is the best..definitely not the cheapest, but they are the best. Check the Norcal forum for more info..they just had a meet at Premier. They can do via pre-cut kit or custom.

I had mine done by Transparent bra....am happy with the job. 877-843-2720 He uses pre-cut kits but can do it custom as well...he has a website and he is mobile..comes to you.

Both places use Venture film.....very clear and durable. Have on all three of my Lexuses....

Hit me up on PM if you have any more questions.

I had my car recently covered my clear bra as well and am very happy with the results. You can check out pictures of the work done here..I got the premium coverage so they basically covered all the areas prone to scratches..:

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I had my RX 330 done by Premier. The guys are great. Really took the time to make sure all the pieces are on perfectly. They were working in my garage for almost 5 hours to get every bit correct!

Mine is 2 years old now and is still in very good shape. No watermarks or scratches that I can see. My car's color is dark so those things show up easily and I ain't seen any.

It's a good investment. Good luck.
