Alcohol is terrible for leather. Use well regarded products designed to clean and to condition leather.
As for the "baby wipes," my babies never had butts that looked or felt anything like leather; those kids must have some pretty tough rear ends.
I would not use a leather cleaner on a baby, and don't see why it would seem a good idea to use a baby cleaner on the leather interior of an automobile.

The Zaino Leather Cleaner is pretty good, and I have used it a lot, but the Zaino Leather Conditioner is the best. Very smooth and creamy, soaks into the leather, and is highly recommended by car care professionals.

I have the Zymol Cleaner and the Zymol Conditioner. The Zymol Cleaner is fluid, not like paste.
