Default Looking to Purchase RX 350 -Price and Package Questions

Greetings all,

New to the forum, but found these are the best places to get info.

Looking to purchase a 2007 RX 350 AWD, the dealerships (2) (Denver CO) tell me I can only get the Premium Plus Package and Nav (if wanted), this region only gets Premuim plus. I would really like to find one w/ the Mark Levinson Package, by the time the Prem PLus and Nav are put on it almost the same price.

The kicker, dealer tells me NO Mark Levinson Packages are being sent to this region, no way no how, odd?
Questions:
-anyone else hear no ML packages in 350's to a region?
-anyone special order a 350 yet, if so what did the charge you above invoice?
-any concesus on the best area for deals on the 350?

Thanks
Scott

ML is not being offered in my region either. i hear that it will be no earlier than this Fall before they arrive... i am not sure if they are being shipped elsewhere with nav/ML, but if it's anything like the IS introduction, you may have to wait a while to get one (aka, dealers won't be trading lost distances)

i was really thinking about jumping ship to the 350 from the 330, but i don't want to think about doing that before the new ML is available on the RX. it should be amazing, better than the current system.

Thanks for the reply. It wasn't so much the ML package itself, I assumed it was better than the standard, it was the pricing. Current Premium Plus w/ Nav is the same price as the ML/Nav package and you get the ML, go figure.

I also want to hook in XM sat radio, heard you have to use some back AM input, not sure how that works.

Right now emailing a number of dealers, TX, IA and such. TX says they can get ML but w/ Entertainment System, IA is checking the options. Seeing what the prices come out to. Invoice is $39,363 w/ out dealer fees they won't give on, so puts it at $41,262 w/ fees. Best offer so far is $42,762, $1500 over invoice basically. I'll work 'em.

My friend just picked up his RX 350 with RSES/NAV/ML. Seems you can get ML if you also get the RSES.

That's the "Rear Seat Entertainment System."

It includes a dvd player in the ceiling behind the front seat passengers and a fold down TV screen, a remote control and 2 sets of wireless headsets.

It's what parents use today instead of filling the kids with Nyquil before a trip.

OK, now I feel like an idiot, good things my kids are grown, something I don't need.

Think I'm going to take the plunge, dealer offered to sell me one at $500 over invoice.

Yes. If you don't have small kids you do not need the RSES, which costs a couple of grand and adds very litle to the resale value.

When I was looking at used RX330s, I let the salesmen I talked to that if it had the RSES I was just not interested.
