I just hate to get caught in a sudden rainstorm, and so I like to carry an umbrella in the car, if I can find a place where it's out of the way.

The folks at Rolls Royce think the same way, since, as we all know, the new models now come with an umbrella that pops out from the edge of the door.

I looked around for a place in my RX330, and found that a golf umbrella sits perfectly across the tops of the handles on the back seats that you lift to slide them forward or backward. I don't know if it would roll out on sudden braking, so I used a (red) velcro wrap to keep that from happening.

It's almost as if they wanted us to keep our umbrellas there.

I tried to get a photo, but it's usually pretty dark under the seats.

Cool idea! I've been keeping my big golf umbrella in the pocket formed by the rear cargo cover between the crossbar and the back seat. It's out of the way and easily accessible, but the only problem is that if it's raining, you still have to put it somewhere and you'll get wet doing it.

Of course it's been so long since we've had significant rain here, I'd forgotten about the umbrella. I flipped the back seats down a couple days ago and this strange black fabric stick rolled out. I wondered for a moment what it was.
