Sorry, I can't help you with the set-up or operation of the SLI because I have the SLX (XM radio) version.

Scott & Lexuslover,

I just got the SLI. When you say the console, you're referring to placing the unit inside the console box between the seats? The console box/cupholders area does not connect with the shifter/headunit area, unlike the other Lexus models. So how do you run the harness from the headunit, down the center stack, under the carpet/flat plastic panel on the floor, up to the console box betwen the seats? I ask this because the supplied harness doesn't appear to be long enough to go from the center stack to between the seats in the RX. This requires removing the console box for access?

i am referring to the lower portion of the center stack, behind/below the shifter. once you remove the radio and Nav display, you will not see much choice other than to drop the wires straight down. there is large flat area beneath that you can velcro the SLI to and run the wires out of the side panel that and underneath the floor mat to the little tray where the center console slides over. that is one place to let your ipod rest. you will have to take out the Right lower side panel to velcro it in. it is super easy, and whenever you need upgrades the SLI is accessible within 30 seconds (no need to remove radio again).

the other alternative is to go sideways with the wires and put the SLI and/or ipod in the glove box. we didnt' end up doing this because the SLI is not that small and my glovebox is pretty full already.

Thanks. I'll check that out.

I see good pics of the finished installation in the IS and GS forums, but nothing in this forum for the RX330/350/400h. If anyone would like to include pics of their RX it'd greatly help those of us considering installing ourselves.

Default SLI Install on RX

I would also appreciate some pics of the finished install and also any pics available of the install process, like the ones on the IS forum for the NAV hack.

Thanks.
