My 2005 RX330 has begun to have the black plastic/rubber roof strip on the passenger side (under the rail above the doors - but part of the roof) come out every time I go to a car wash, or just driving down the road it comes loose. It appears to simply be a friction fit into the channel. Has anyone else experienced this problem and is there a fix? I guess I will call the dealer, but not sure what can be done short of gluing it into the channel. I would hate to have it come totally loose like it does at the car wash while on the interstate as I'm sure it would slap around and damage something. It's about 3 feet long and comes out from the front but stay attached at the back.

Call it in for service. They will more than likely replace the strip with a fresh one, rather than glue the old one. The plastic strip should be self retaining. Check to insure the other one is secure, and if needed, consider replacing both.

To the original poster, you should be concerned about this coming loose and damaging the car's paint. Mine came loose while going down the interstate and it did mar the paint while smacking the side of the car repeatedly until I had a chance to pull over. Had to be buffed out.
