Default Verizon Bluetooth with 07 350

My mom just got a new rx350 and i have the verizon razr which syncs fine with the bluetooth in the car, minus the fact that you cant transfer the phonebook. Are there any verizon phones that will be 100 percent compatible?

Thanks!

It's a problem with verizon and not really the phone so no. RAZR with another provider can xfer fine.

I believe the phonebook transfer is done by OBEX (object exchange) protocol on Bluetooth which Verizon blocks on all of their phones. HowardForums has a thread on how one can hack the seem to unlock this feature. I unlocked OBEX on my VZW Motorola E815 and it could do phonebook transfers just fine. Look into that a little more, if you're technically inclined, and I'm sure you can get it to work.

Where do I go to find HowardForums? I didn't see that forum listed? I have an E815 and would like to unlock the transfer function too. Do you have the procedures to follow that you could send me?

The thread can be found here: http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=674803

What you want to do is to unlock OBEX. Follow the directions.

Default lexus/bluetooth/verizon fix

I have a Verizon Razr and a 2005 RX330.

The best way i found to transfer the phone book was:

1. Buy an unlocked Sony Ericcson T68 plus Cingular SIM on eBay (around $50)

2. Enter all your numbers into the T68.

3. Use the T68 to transfer your names/numbers to the car (only takes a minute or two).

4. Use the Verizon phone to access the names/numbers in teh car's phonebook and make calls.

5. The T68 does NOT have to be connected to any service contract.

Hope this helps, got the info. from posters on CNET forums.
