Hi,

Has anyone put a Yakima Space Cadet on a RX330/350? I'd like to know if it fits well, and has clearance for the rear door to raise all the way. The Yakima site says to "check the fit list", but I can't find a fit list.

Anyone have any experience with the yakima box?

No experience on an RX. However, here is the link to do a fit check: http://www.yakima.com/Consumer/Step1.aspx. This will only tell you IF you can carry one on your vehicle. Download the installation instructions for the Space Cadet. You can carry it further forward if you choose to use Yakima bars with their LowRider mounts on the rails instead of mounting directly on the factory cross bars. Make measurements (from the installation instructions) to get a 'feel' if the rear door will clear. Only someone who has actually put one on call tell you if the rear door raised all the way will really clear.

It looks like the box will fit fine. That site also says much larger boxes will fit, however I know they would either hang over the front, or not allow the back end to open fully.

Still would like to hear some experiences from anyone who has used either a Thule, Yakima or any other box on their RX.
