Now that I have owned by 1st RX, I have one least favorite...how the door handles are starting to dis-color....is this normal? Like paint is chipping off....

The Lexus paint as well an many manufacturers out there today is soft. It chips and scratches easily. However, this is usually the front end. In my 4 years of owning my 04 RX330, my front end and hood had a lot of chips since the first week of ownership, but my door handles have never discolored or chipped. My color was the Neptune Blue Mica.

The paint is not really chipping off, it is actually discoloration.....I will have to complain when I bring it in for the brake light issue (I still have an almost not working driver side brake light, its only putting out 20% light...I guess they are leds)....if I can just find time.

My annoyances would be the drive-enjoyment (compared to my 530i BMW) and the key fob design.
Real-time traffic information would be nice as well.

Rear window visibility is horrible, but thats what the back-up camera is for

But overall, a great car. The leather, the wood, the comfort, everything is just so refined.

Now I understand how the Key is susceptible to cracking. The force to start up the ignition gives it a torque.....bad design....let's opt for a push button....everybody has them now.....

anything is more fun to drive then the RX thats a given. the old rx300 had better rear visiblity but better then a FJ cruiser. and having a push start would be nice.

I'm starting to see a lot of them on the road also.

Has somebody been talking?
