Question Rust spots on disc rotors

It was raining couple nights ago. I woke up and I saw some rusty spots on the disc rotors on my a week old RX350. What's happening? Rust spots disappeared once I drive it or wash it off.

High in carbon steel equals quick to "surface" rust. It is harmless; the pads will clean off the rotor surface.

As suggested, this is normal. You ought to go out to the airport, look in long term parking and see what some of the rotors look like. These are basic cast iron and will oxidize at the drop of a hat.
