Timing Belt? Higher Mileage RX?
My wife's RX300 was recently totalled in a headon collision and we are considering replacing it with an RX330. I am trying to find out the recommended mileage for timing belt (chain?) replacement as well as any other common problems with 50,000+ mile RX's.
Thanks

When I had my '00 RX300 I had the timing belt replaced at about 95K miles. Also had the water pump replaced at the same time because it's a pretty cheap replacement once they remove everything they need to for replacing the timing belt.

I am not sure with regard to RX330s, but with the RX300s as quasi-guide, usually 90K for the timing belt and given the cost convenience due to its nearby location, the water pump as DaveJ mentioned.
The belts can go longer, I think I have heard of a few RXs going beyond the 150k mark...and the water pump can out live the belt...still I would get these items done.
Only other 50K+ mile thing to really concern oneself with is the tranny...has the fluid been changed (including filter) and how often.
