I got a price for a 07-RX-350. MSRP was $45,706.00. Dealer, in NJ quoted $43,000.00 . all the bells and whistles as per the lexus build your own web site, nav etc. In addiiton they want $899.00 to install XM- Is this fair prices?
Thanks

Prices are different thoughout the country, so your mileage may vary. Your price is fairly close to the deals offered in my area. Some of our west coast forum member have gotten fantastic deals compared to what you get here.

When I bought mine in August, I was a handshake away from a deal and then I insisted on a free XM radio to close the deal. It hardly cost the dealer anything (like $100 plus installation labor), so they gave in to make it happen. If you can't get them to budge on price, the free XM radio will sweeten the deal for you.

Are you willing to travel? 6+ hours? I bought mine (RX350 w/AWD, Navi, Premium Plus, etc) for $40.8K plus tax, title & registration 6 weeks ago. I later got a free All-Weather mats for referral business. I had three dealers which quoted within $41K price range when I first started looking.

I'm in the Pacific NW. While it's a different region, I am in an area without competition it's couple hours drive to the next nearest dealership. The drives were do-able, so I did get quotes from all neighboring dealers.

The lowest quote for the same vehicle you're shopping for was 41K. In the end I paid 41,500 to buy close to home. The price difference wasn't worth the hassle of the trip, the extra miles on the new vehicle, my time etc.

We did however open a Lexus Pursuits Visa card, with (until the end of this month) the purchase of a new Lexus you are awarded 50,000 "points" that equal $500.00 worth of credit at Lexus Dealerships. I also used the card (with full intentions of paying it off on the first statement) for $7500.00 of my purchase, for 37500 points and was awarded 5000 points for my first use of the card. All points equal 925.00 in credit. We plan to use this card for all purchases that we pay in full every month. The points will add up a lot slower than the initial purchase did, but over time I hope it will cover the major maintenance costs. I have read where others plan to use their points for accessories like XM radio!
