As for the cargo space between the MDX and RX you could be right. It may not offer more. What I really wanted to say is that with the 3rd row it really does offer more utility and ability to hold people. We went to Disneyland in my cousins 05 MDX with 2 kids, 4 adults and two strollers. My cousin drove, I was in the front passanger seat, the two kids were in front facing baby seats on each end of the rear seat, my sister in law was between them, and my wife was on one half of the 3rd row. One of the 3rd row seats was folded away and the two strolles were stuffed in that area. There is no way that would have been possible in our RX unless someone sat on the cargo floor with no seat belt.

I agree with you that there is more utility in the MDX. It's definitely better if you have more than 2 kids. I would think however that for most people, they would rarely use that 3rd row...and it's a pretty tight 3rd row so it's really only suitable for children. I think that if most people think they would rarely use it, it might be better to get a vehicle that is 500lbs lighter and better in fuel economy

The Murano and FX are really not related besides the engine. The Murano is based off the Maxima and Altima. It has front wheel drive bias until rear is needed. The FX is based on G35 platform and is rear wheel drive bias. Front is only used if there is slippage. Hence the sporting nature of the FX.

They really drive differently. The Murano offers a lot more space and drives like the RX. The FX is different and smaller on the inside.
