How Do I Remove Rear Spoiler?
I am looking for instructions on how to remove the rear spoiler on a 2007 RX350 or 2004-2006 RX330. I am having it painted the same color as the body of the car (Silver) I was able to find 3 bolts, which I removed. I unplugged the electrical, but something is still holding it on. I don't want to go any further until further instruction. By the way if I remove it and bring it to the body shop they will paint it for $150.00

On the 330, there are also some kind of clips that hold the spoiler on the body. The spoiler pops onto the clips.
I had to have my spoiler removed by the dealer because of a problem (some foam weatherstripping was falling out!), and they broke it in the process of trying to get it off the clips. They warned me that might happen, and they offered to arrange a loaner car before they even started.
So be very careful!!!

I removed mine and probably broke that exact same clip that is mentioned above. It is the center clip. For some reason that clip just doesn't want to budge. The others just pop right off. I had removed my spoiler to be painted. With it reinstalled you can't tell that clip is broken and it hasn't affected the mount. No rattles or anything. I actually have a spare spoiler if anyone needs it for whatever reason. I was planning on painting the spare, but it didn't arrive in time when my car when to the body shop.

I got the spare spoiler because I originally intended to get it painted ahead of time, then simply swap it to avoid any down time. As it turned out, the spoiler didn't arrive in time and my car needed to go into the body shop already, so I just had the original spoiler painted.

I wondered about a more extended rear spoiler
I was looking at mine one time and thought about painting it to match as well. But I was also thinking of finding a more extended spoiler. This one doesn't really have to have any affect on the keepin the rear window clean as it seems more of an asthetic appearing thing than for function.
Has anyone done a search for a better aftermarket spoiler? I have only seen aftermarket replacements.

I haven't seen an extended one myself, but since I have that spare spoiler laying around, I entertained ideas about modifying that spare stock spoiler with fiberglass and extending it. It will be a big project that I don't have time for right now so I haven't even given it much other though.
