Spring Install
I just got my TTE springs for the RX350. Now I need to get them installed. Now I have a question. I just called a shop to see what their price would be to install. They quoted me close to $700! Are the RX springs more difficult to install than the average car? I was thinking it would be in the $300 ballpark.
Does anyone know of a good mechanic in the DC or Northern Virginia that has worked on Lexus cars?

I changed my own springs. I have a spring compressor and air tools. Anyway, It is no harder than any other car. The front is real easy as there is a lot of space to work with given it is an SUV with big wheel wells. The rear is a bit harder simply because you have to remove part of the rear hatch panels to gain access to the struts 3 top bolts. Other than that it is a piece of cake. I did them by myself in my garage. If you paid me to do it (Not counting an alignment obviously) I would probably charge about $200. Keep in mind, I'm no mechanic, as I work in TV with electronics, but I'm half Chinese so I try to save money wherever possible It really isn't that hard and I enjoy doing the work
