Default The wheels take up a lot of cargo area, it seems

It looks like the wheels take up more cargo space than most SUV's, so there may be 85 cubic feet of space but I think some of that is wasted because of the wheels. Anyone have issues because of this?

These all have very similar cubic footage but don't look it. In fact, RX has the most but looks the least.

I don't usually use my RX for utility (Yes, I am one of those), but there have been occasions where those damn wheel wells really did interfere with things I wanted to carry. Most of the time it is not a problem for me, but it has gotten in the way. I guess it just depends on what type of cargo you carry.

It's one of the things I didn't like about my RX ... the cargo area felt just a bit small w/the wheel wells and the angle of the back. I would take 4 people and golf clubs and I felt it was packed in back there.
