i would bet if you contacted the dealership parts manager he would be willing to get those wheels for you. wheels from the dealer are normally pretty spendy $$$$

Well, either way, I do feel that this could have been made possible (even if it came down to them ordering the wheels direct from the factory). It just seemed that they didn;t want to go through the trouble..
yes, that is what i gathered by your posting.

jj- i didn't mean literally a swap. i meant take 400h wheels from their parts dept (or order it for the customer) and put them on the 350 he is buying. of course you cannot do a literal "swap" from one new car to the other.

for instance, i got chromes on mine. the dealer didn't do a literal swap, they ordered chromes for me and then took my old ones into their parts inventory.

Here's what I know/think/believe: Just like the Toyota Camry/Lexus ES generally change generations at around the same time, give or take a few months, the Toyota Highlander and Lexus RX (or, in JDM parlance, Toyota Kruger and Harrier) have a similar relationship and, again, they change generations at roughly the same time.

Toyota has officially announced that it'll unveil the 2nd-generation (2008) Toyota Highlander this coming Wednesday 7 February. It probably won't go on sale, however, until sometime between May and October 2007 as a 2008 model. For whatever reasons, Lexus apparently decided to sell the 3rd-generation RX as an early 2009, with sales starting around February or March 2008. That means the 3rd-gen RX may debut as early as the New York Auto show this April, or as late as the 2008 Detroit Auto Show in January '08 (or, in between, at this fall's Tokyo Auto Show). The early release of the 2008 RX350 and the minor facelift in its last year are a bit unusual, but not unheard of.

Probably not. That picture was posted on my.IS a while back, and the consensus was that it is a new, smaller-than-RX Lexus SUV to compete against the likes of the Acura RDX and BMW X3.

Such a vehicle had been rumored for a while as a sort of IS300 SportCross replacement, and was expected to sit on the Lexus IS platform. More recent rumors, however, have it, instead, as a Toyota RAV4 derivative.

Re. the new pics of the black bird's eye maple with grey interior, there's hardly any contrast between the black dash and the wood panels. You can't even tell there is wood.

That's what I like about it ... the wood seems more subtle.
