Default How do you remove DVD from the NAV in RX350?

I'd like to remove the DVD from the Nav in my RX350 to burn a hybrid DVD with the 5.1vs firmware and the 6.1vs firmware to gain access to the Override features.

Can someone give step by step instructions with pictures or at least point me to a link where someone already has? THANKS!

actually, thats not for the RX series. Go into the trunk, remove the carpet, and open the main compartment where the tools/tire are. then on the right side, you will see a slit in the middle of the plastic case. You cant take out the case, its built into the car. THere is a button though

If you scroll the PDF down several pages, there's an entry for the RX. I followed it this afternoon and had no problems at all.

New to the RX (purchased our certified 2004 RX 330 with premium plus and NAV on 12/31/06) and was wondering where the the NAV DVD was located - thanks for the information!

While reading another thread here, it seems I can buy an updated NAV DVD for my generation 2 (which is what I believe is in the 2004 RX 330 right?) to update it from the current 2.1 version.

I don't suppose anyone has a more recent NAV DVD that is compatible with a generation 2 system that they want to burn for this newbie?

BTW... Love the RX so far :-)

dude be careful with the CD. Ive been on many lexus forums and i have read literally hundreds of posts about how people put in other cd's and it breaks the whole damn thing. Also, dont take burned discs because they need to be double sidedly burned. dual layer discs or something.

Id suggest you to NOT update your CD. You will still have the same ugly brown background and layout. the only difference will be the routes (updated roads etc)
