loud road noise on 350 and Michelin tires

I found Nitto and Alenza both on Discount Tire America. Seems good price.
AM1, I favor the Nitto, how do you like it?
255-55 will not rub, it offers it as a plus zero....I guess it is ok.
The other choice is Alenza.

once you see the selection at americas tires you will see there are a lot of tires that can be good replacements. if you look at the 255/55/18 size there are even more tires avaiable and it is a plus zero size so there should not be any problems with computer, and such. most of the 255/55/18's have either better speed ratings, higher tread life, and better load handling or all three.

the reason i picked the nitto 420's was origninally i was looking for a "Y" or "W" speed rated tire...the problem with that is those high speed rated tires have a low tread life, most wont go more then 20-25K before need replaceing. The lease on the car ends in about 1.5 years and i changed the tires around 28K. the last thing i wanted to do was to have to buy a whole new set of tires right before having to return the car. That meant i needed to go down a speed rating but also get a tire that had a high tread life. the nitto 420's have almost the same handling charateristics has the "Y" or "W" rated advan st's or other similar tires but they can go at least 30-35K easily. That would make it so i will reach 60K when the lease is up and still have enough tread left and not have to buy new tires.

I had a set of Nitto's on previous cars.. they were great when they were new..but got really "loud" when they got some wear on them.. less than 20k is what remember..
Not bashing Nitto's but that is why I went with the Alenza's after reading a "lot" of positive reviews about them..
Incidently, if you have a Firestone store in the area, check with them as they have the buy 3 get one free sales..
