Yeah, I recently did a 3 hour drive thru semi-blizzard conditions, and it handled extremely well. I have the michelin 18"ers. I think next winter, after some of the tread is gone, I will get snow tires. But with the full tread, the michelin's are just fine.

Mine feels even more sure-footed than my RX300 did. I haven't played with it much on the one big parking lot I have access to, but I expect that it'll behave like the RX300 did: go where it's pointed, refuse to misbehave no matter how badly I try to get it loose, stop straight and smoothly.

jmaynard, Another person who emailed me echoed your sentiments on the RX300 and RX330 difference. Will have to try this if I can ever get a test drive when it is snowing back in the U.S.
I generally find a lot of use with the Snow when it is raining down here.

The traction control is amazing in the snow. I took it to a parking lot during our latest snow and played a little. As soon as the stability control light comes on and beeps, the car tracks straight as an arrow.

Agreed.
I bought my 2004 RX 330 AWD on 12/31/06 and this was my first chance to play with it in the snow/sleet/freezing rain/rain that we had here in the NYC / Long Island area yesterday.
Was very impressed - especially when I looked in the rear view mirror and saw three snow plows bearing down on the highway traffic. I saw very little other than the plows and gigantic walls of snow that looked like they were going to blow all the cars in front of them off the road so I basically mashed the gas and easily dusted all the other cars around and in front of me with no drama whatsoever. Before I knew it I could no longer see the plows so they must have left the highway.
But the RX was great. Mash the gas and point the wheel where you want it to go and it goes there!

The only problem I have seen is where I went plowing deliberately thru 2' drifts, and ended up with snow stuck to the inside of the 18" rims. They vibrated pretty mightly above 50 mph until I cleaned them out with a stick.
