Just wanted to post and say hello to everyone. I just joined even though I have been reading the posts on this forum for some time already. Everything has been very informative.
Got my 2007 RX350 in early February and really love the car. Perfect family car for us with a 5 month old baby. Got Black on black with Navigation/bluetooth and all the goodies except for the Mark Levinson and rear screen. Paid $37K, car had a list of just over $44K.

Thanks, yes got the FWD. Live in Southern California so didn't have a huge need for AWD.
Love how quiet the car is. Also looked at the VW Touareg and the Lexus is much quieter and smoother. Also have been averaging a little over 20mpg's for the first 500 miles which is very nice compared to other SUV's. Price wise I don't think there are many better SUV's than the RX for under $50k.

One other thing I forgot to note. Got the Vaistech iPod adapter installed in the glovebox. Works great and displays all of our iPod playlists and songs on the navigation screen. Wish Lexus had an option like this from the factory.
Also tried to deactivate the NAV lockout while moving and have been unsuccesful so far. Has anyone been able to defeat the system on their 07 yet?

Yes, it can be done - sort of... read on...
I ordered the Lockpick 3 Basic from Coastal E tech about 3 weeks ago. It was advertised and (also confirmed on phone) that it would do 2 things:
1 - eliminate the 'I Agree' screen
and
2- allow destination input while driving
It arrived - I plugged it in (takes about 3 minutes) and low and behold - it does NOT eliminate the 'I Agree' screen,
BUT,
it will allow destination input while driving - flakey though...
the way it works is that while driving you press the Destination button below the nav screen...most everything is still greyed out....press the pushpin in the upper left corner...wait about 1 sec and all of the buttons light up.
so far so good...
about 2 seconds later they all go back to gray again,
about 2 more seconds later and they come back on and you can now enter addresses and use any of the buttons.
So, I called them and they sent a replacement (took over a week to get it) and same thing - no 'I Agree' fix and the destination fix acts the same.
They SWEAR this thing works and there is something wrong with MY car...hhhmmmm - I really doubt it.
So, YES it can be done - it will cost $100. and the product is not perfect.
If anyone is in Atlanta and wants to try it before I send it back, I will be happy to plug it into your RX and we can see if it's just my car or not....
BTW, I have a 2007 RX350 with ver 6.1 map s/w.
