With less than a day behind the wheel of my brand new 2008 RX350, the inevitable happened on schedule and a passing truck kicked a stone into the grille. Not a real biggy in the grand scheme of things but certainly a minor p__s off! I assume the grille colour is the same for all exterior colours but for what it's worth, mine is Bamboo Pearl. Does anybody have the paint code and where I might purchase some touch-up paint? If worse comes to worst, is the 2008 grille still chrome underneath so that I could customize it by taking off all the paint?

Buy the touch up paint from your dealership's Parts dept. "Bamboo Pearl" (Lexus paint code # 6T1). Good luck.

Sorry, I guess I didn't state my problem clearly enough. It's the paint for the grille that I am interested in - it appears to be a charcoal/brown colour.

I have not asked at the dealer but I don't think you'll find a Lexus grille touchup, but if you go to an auto store with a rack of colors for various mfr's., I think you'll get close. I've had the same issue on Mercedes grilles and wheels--you'll just need to find something close, most likely. Another option is try these folks http://www.autovisuals.com/index.asp and see if you find a match.

Thanks for the advice. Is it possible that the grille colour is the same as the exterior colour, Flint Mica, as the salesperson suggested?
