The Good Years have soft rubber, pretty good traction and very good braking power. Too bad they cost so much and doesnt last long.

Goodyears are not sold by many common retailers....tells you something...they opt to contract with the OEM's giving them massive discounts because there is not many who re-buy the same OEM tires. bet you Michelins are better the Goodyears.

Just reporting back on my Alenzas. I've got 17k on it now. Lots of road noise. Started hearing it when they turn at 15k miles. Brought it to the dealer for the noise issue. They said it is the tires that's causing the noise. The noise is like a winding noise. I hear it more at around 22mph and above. Dealer checked for wheel bearing noise and replaced one of them but the noise is still there. Dealer said they changed all 4 tires with Michelins from another RX and took it for a ride...the noise was gone. I still have lots of thread left on all 4 tires. I don't believe it is the Alenzas. Anyone having the same issue?

I have 22K on the OEM Michelins (a replacement set with the rims) and think there's at least another 10K easy, that's a year for me (the wife). So I have been reading a lot on repleacements. I am leaning towards Alenza's just because of the reviews.

This review is unusual. Others say Alenza's are a little noisier than stock Michelins. But not that loud.

Monday I having a set of Toyo Versado LX's installed.
The tire is said to have a quiet and smooth ride.Only 40K mile treadlife but I want a soft and quiet ride.
I only have 21K on the Michelins.Tread is at Lincoln's hair on the penny.I could go a bit more but want a better and quieter ride and better traction.
I looked at Alenza but they weigh 4 lbs more per tire and have read of the noise issue.

Toyo Versado, how much are they and who sells them? Are you keeping the 235/55?

A friend of mine has a repair shop and gave me a price of $725 installed.
I'm staying with the 235/55-18.
He's not a tire dealer. He deals with a tire wholesaler.

Question 2007 RX with over 40k on Michelins

Hey Guys:

My wife's 2007 RX350 came through with Michelin OEM's and they have worn well. We have over 42,000 miles on them and they look great. I can't believe we can't get 20,000 more out of them. I think they are mxv's, if there is such a thing. Were the tires on the RX330 that different?
