Default 2005 RX330 AWD OEM Michelin tires

How long did your original tires lasted since getting the car out of the lot?

I currently have 25k miles on it and have a little bit of thread left. Might need to replace all 4 soon.

Do not forget you have a full spare. If you have not rotated, and you want the Michelins, you can buy 3 and use the spare. Keep the best of the used one for spare.

Amen to that Goodyear, pos tire. Can not believe they convinced Lexus. It must be the % content of US made part requirement...

I knew the Goodyear are POS tires....that's why when I bought the car I made sure it had the Michelins tires.

In regards to the spare tire.....I already swapped it....since the wife scratched the wheels against the curb. :-(

So, how many miles should I expect from the Michelins??

my car came with the goodyear eagle RS-A's. i thought they were crappy tires, but people told me that they are great for snow and crappy for anything else, plus they dont last long. i got the original tires to 28K b4 changing.

uh......usually 440 treadwear does last around that long. my NITTOS have a lower treadwear but higher then the OEM tires.

I could have put 50K on my stock Michelin tires on my 04. When I changed my rims to after market I did so around 40K miles and I still had a lot of tread left. My non scientific eye ball estimated I should have been able to get 10K more miles out of them easy.

Wow, your driving habits are probably superb for you to be able to get that mileage. You probably kept it rotated and aligned well.

also driving style dictates how long tires last. my OEM RS-A's lasted 28K before changing, most people were getting around 20K.

My current RSA's on 24k, but will likely have 5K more. Since I have a brand new RSA in my spare, I will probably end up getting 3 RSA's, I hate it. So, I will check arount for Nitto's, are they Japanese or Korean tires? Where did you get them?

My 05 came with the Goodyear (POS) RSA's. We replaced our tires at just over 17k as tread wear indicators were showing. Yes, I kept them aired up, and did regular pressure checks. We put Michelin tires on and so far I'm very pleased, they do much better in ice and snow than the Goodyears, which were downright scary. I'm expecting 40 to 50k miles on these.
