Default just got a call from the dealer...

...and they said that lexus would pay off the last 6 months of leaese pmts of my rx and get me a deal on a new one!!! This is a great idea for me as mine was in a little accident. its fixed but now its just a big rattle box!! the dealer wouldnt take it because of the damage but they said if i got the letter from lexus (the company takes the car), they could make it happen.

im looking at the 350 in silver w/ black interior. hopefully monday i'll be rollin' .

Default wrinkle...

...now im going from excited to pissed. when i made the first deal 2 1/2 years ago i did it on the internet. I put nothing down, they paid off my last lease (1500bucks), and my payments are 3/36k 535/month for luxury no nav. now the guy that called me is talking about 700/month and he's confusing me with my dad - same name, we both have Lexi (plural???!!!). now im like WTF??? I just emailed the internet guy and told him that im not liking the service im getting. the dealer that called me is kinda giving me a hard time and talking some crap about how i need to deal with LFS....even though i've ALWAYS dealt with LFS!!! Im not even sure if the 6month thing is for me now! GRRRRR....hopefully ill get this crap straightened out.

I don't know how to solve your issue but be i'd be cautious, the dealer may just be in it for more profit.

Default you could be right

i KNOW that sometimes lexus will buy you out of your current lexus lease early and will send you a coupon to let you know. this dealer called me and i think he meant to call my dad, THEN i think he told me there was a coupon for me too in order to save face. the B.S. price he gave me leads me to believe that he was lying. i went in to try to exchange for a new RX a 3 months ago and the price was just as bad based on the damage to my car (frame damage). so basically hes offering me the same bad deal!

talked to the internet dealer that i wanted to deal with initailly and he took care of it. its looking like silver/black NAV RX350 12/36k for $585/month. they will pay off my last 6 1/2 months. 0 down only first month and dmv. pretty good?

I yours 4 wheel or 2 wheel? I am paying $580 for a RX400H 4 wheel drive with NAV package that included a radio upgrade plus some mats and a few other things, but I did have to put down about $2,000 up front, so if you factor in the up front money it is about $635 for a RX400H. Is the 400H worth the extra $$, I think it is

im not real good with financing and numbers but my parents picked up a lease for a rx350 few months ago. they put down 3,000 the monthly payments are 540 i think and 15K miles a year. FWD RX350 and every option except for air suspension.

Divide the $3,000 by 36 months and add it to the $540 and you get $623 per month, but you have to figure if the extra 3,000 miles a year is worth anything to you. In my case I have a 12,000 mile lease for approximately the same cost on my RX400H and I am sure I will turn in the car with less than 36,000 miles. It all depends on how many miles you think you will put on. Paying more money for 45,000 miles instead of 36,000 miles would be a waste of money for me.
One other thing that could be important is buy back cost if you want to keep the car at the lease end. I don't care about it because I want a new car when my lease is up but if you are thinking about keeping the car buy back could be important.

be careful with this. Ive had dealers want to do this many times before and all they do is roll your remaining payment amount into your new loan amount. so basically for the next 3-4 years you are still paying for the previous car.

Read the numbers carefully....it is to you best interest. But unfortunately you get to find out that your guy was trying to put one over you.

No one is giving you anthing for free. i get those letters alll the time. Its a marketing plw to get u in the showroom. However, in Umpalumba's case, his car sounds like a POS. This may just work to get the bucket off his hands.
