Default Actively Safe RX Has Some Flaws

I've just scanned 3 least fav.'s list and under safety:
1.)Poor back-up lighting--lights not strong enough.
2.)No low fuel warning beep--claim was light not that visible,
and some comfortable steering wheel settings makes a block on visibility.
3.)Wavering Tranny when merging--predictability when tromping on accelerator not there.
I would addmy pet peeve at the moment but relegated to details
in new '08s Drivers' Manual)
4.)VSC OFF button availability is for rocking stuck '08 RXs out of deep
snow/sand/mud so as not to depower the wheels. '07 and older RX Customers
don't know about this and Lexus has shown even on activelysafe.com web site no mention of this.
Surely, customer data base for those who purchased winter tires in past should receive letter &/or e-mail from Service Mgrs. as a minimum.
(This could provide the temporary solution of removing Fuse #5 as a 'best practise'). Lexus has followed car industry on this one but they could show they do care.
Otherwise, Lexus is just like all other car companies.
What do others think of the activelysafe.com web site?
My view is that it is safety sells and the site should be improved with new safety
additions for next model change with Pre-Safe and possibly corner/side view cameras if Lexus truly walk the talk. I would also like to see a step-up on better traction systems. But the site has to have complete content and VSC OFF should be part of educational value to current owners.
Cheers, Gord

I am very disappointed to hear this.

I thought the car was perfect.

I'm going to look at a Land Rover next time.

im going to try to refute all of the above
1) why does one need such bright lights, whats their point but to warn people you are reversing
2)the beep is not every in any luxury car, its annoying and one should know when to fuel it up. THe light is good enough
3)dont tromp on the accelerater. Ease gently on the pedal im all is well. Even if you tromp, its really just a delay of about 1 seconds. Learn to tromp earlier
4)the average driver likes to have those around so that one can stay out of trouble. Turning it off, is less safe for others not in snow country than safe for those in snow country
