HI,
I need help some figuring something out. Last month I purchased a certified 2005 RX330 from a dealership. The CarFax report that was supplied to me stated that vehicle was shipped to the dealer on 5/9/2005 and on 5/27/2005 was registered as a corporate fleet vehicle. On 4/6/2007 it was offered for sale as a certified car. Now here's what confuses me. The maintenance log shows the 5,000 mile service was performed on 1/11/2005, four months before the car was delivered. On 7/7/2005 the 15,000 mile service was performed. My guess is that I received the wrong maintenance log. In the dealer service verification box it says 92413 T.M.S. I assume that's the zip code of the dealer who performed the service. Is that correct? Also, included in the warranty manual was a "Inspection Certification" for a vehicle with an id of JTJGA31U250046318, signed by a dealership in Long Beach. This VIN is not the VIN for my car. Did I just get the wrong log? My RX has 19,450 miles, more in line with car that was used as a loaner or somebody who never left town.
Thanks

Some thing is odd! You may expect that every thing is entered correctly, but we all know that mistakes can happen.
You have differnt sources of information and for sure a mismatch in vin.
Why dont you go to your dealer and ask for a printout on service record of your vehicle. There still may be omissions but that is where I would start.

Good point...they normally take them to a corp service station....for fleet cars...just like gas stations for fleet cars.
