Huh. I always wondered what # of posts triggered the different levels. Interesting but random.

I have however always found it interesting though the differences among forums across the net, what they use for different posts. I have seen ones that say too many posts to count, we had to create new numbers for this dude, the infinity symbol. With posts numbers, some like on another favorite site of mine, www.alternatehistory.com, just show "1,000 or more" to delineate the difference. Some of the forums I post on in Mexico go by liters/engine, 1.6 L 4 cyl member to say 5.0 L V8.

The posts' numbers show seniority to a certain extent. I am a member of 3 other forums. I participate a lot in discussions mainly to share good lessons learned and of course pick up a few new pointers. All in the pursuit of making it easier to maintain the rides we have, with practical $ investments.

Normally, senior members will have more knowledge and are more shall we say...patient with people like us, newbies.
