Brakes "Groan"
I've searched for groaning brakes, no results.
I have an '05 RX330 AWD, with around 20k miles now. The brakes are starting to make a "groaning" sound under moderate breaking, especially within the first 15-20 minutes of driving the car. It may be due to just the car not being driven in a while, because its usually only driven twice a week.
Any ideas? Pads seem fine, I'm not sure if the rotors need to be resurfaced at this mileage.

If there is no pulsation under non-emergency braking (normal slow down) then there is no need to turn the rotors.
Rotors of all Lexus models have a tendency to form a thin layer of rust and that can cause the groaning. This burns off real quick. If you wash your car, you can see the rust the next day.

Salim recommend a good check, pulsation will indicate a need to turn rotors. But also indicates premature failure. If still under warranty, normally they will address the issue.
