![Question](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I've just finally sold my car and now officially ready to purchase my brand new RX350 as early as this weekend or next week! (I'm in Atlanta, GA) SO excited!
Should I go for the 2008 or 2007 RX350? Are there any major differences/improvements in the models?
The MSRP/Invoice prices appear to be exactly the same on both years - is that right?
I bet the dealers will be trying to get rid of '07's - do you think I'll get a better deal? But even if I do, is it worth saving a couple of $$ and not go for the latest and greatest?
ALSO, I really want to get an AWD - is it safer than FWD? What's the advantage for me? FWDs are a little less expensive.
Any input or advice is appreciated!
Thanks!!!

No major changes between the 07 and 08, I think the 08 gets the chrome door handles and a new grill which looks very similar to the old one. If you can find a 07 buy it, you will get a good deal because their is not too many left since the 08 has been for a while. You do not need 4WD if you live in Atlanta unless you off road. The slight advantage of the 4WD is better traction in the rain and better less torque steer on fast turns.

If you did not want the AWD, why bother getting the RX350? Its main selling point is the AWD and handling in rain/snow/mud. Without AWD, it probably handles fairly poorly. Go get a cheaper vehicle!

I recently bought and couldn't find an '07 in my area.
The key thing with any vehicle purchase - drive everything. Personally, FWD wasn't an option for me. Torque steer, and more important...understeer...are two words I don't like to associate with a vehicle.
That's not to say FWD is bad - if it works for you, great. It's a bit less expensive and gets slightly better fuel economy. You're still getting a Lexus, with the nice appointments and dealer service. Good luck...
