Fantastic! So, if you took your car to the dealer, with a set of 255-55-18's they might say, you have voided the warranty....?? With the bigger tire, you are registering lower mileage.

^ I just can't see that happening. For a 3% difference in miles...I wouldn't sweat it. I didn't see any on RX models, but my dealer...as well as many others...puts bigger rims and tires on new cars before they're even sold. By all means ask your dealer if it's a concern, but don't be surprised at the "Wha...whaa...what are you asking?!?" response. ![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
On a whim I went tire "shopping" and was amazed at how many offerings there are in 255/55 vs. the OEM 235/55. Unless that changes I too will be putting 255's on when the stockers run thin.

Hi,do you think that using the 255 instead of the oem 235 will fit proprly on the original 7 inches rim without thinning the sides of the tyre but not the center?

Had them when they first came out from tirerack. Risky at the time because there were no reviews on them, but I needed them badly due to my Crapty RS-A being dangerously worn out and the OEM size Alenza inventory ran out (from tirerack anyway). Took the plunge and 20K+ miles later still happy with them. They're awsome in the rain (Seattle) and did quite well during our last winter/ice storm. Mine are the 18" OEM ones.

After a lot of research I decided on the kuhmo apt kl51. Im very Picky about tires, the differences in tires of the same size can be astounding. I also have an off road only wrangler and a mitsu eclipse and go through alot of tires on both. I am however a bit nicer to my 330 but still will not compromise on tires. If there is anything Iv learned over the years its that price more often than not does not make for a good tire choice. There is a lot of crap out there at top dollar, and some VERY good tires overlooked due to a low cost. Im installing the kuhmos on wed and will keep all informed on the progress of results.

these (Kumho Road Venture APT KL51) were on my wife's '07 RX350 we bought in Oct 2009. The dealer had them installed and they were new. We've presently have 8,000 miles on them and while she drives the car most of the time, they seem fine. We just took a 2,000 trip where I drove with no issues. They're fine in rain, they have worn well and have lots of tread left. You can sort the Tire Rack reviews for Lexus and you'll find a number of reviews rated them well. I'm a Michelin guy and at this point, I'd buy these again.

Another vote for the Kumho Road Venture APT KL51. They are superior in all respects to the Goodyear RSAs that came on the car from the factory. The original tires only lasted 27k miles. The Kumhos have 30k+ miles and based on the remaining tread, will last perhaps a total of 60k miles. They are reasonably quiet, have a smooth ride, and of course a competitive price point. Would definitely buy again.

Have it since 11/07 the tire thread is still halfway. I tried this tire because of
it's thread life (not like like the OEM only lasted for 25K). Now I have 49K still
the tire is not showing any worn out very satisfied. About the ride I can say
is very good not totally excelent , noise depend on the surface of the road over all I'm satisfied will definitely use it again.
