Default Differences in Headlights

Hello everyone.

I am wondering if anybody could tell me the differences in the HID Headlights between Non-AFS and AFS (Housing, wiring, computers, and sensors).

I just bought a used 04 RX330 with halogen headlights and is really regretting not waiting for one with HIDs. I am currently researching what is involved in just replacing my current headlight housings with another set that has the projectors. I am hoping that somebody else here has gone through the same thing and could tell me which extra parts I would also need to purchase for the complete upgrade. A parts diagram would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure the dealer can assist you with an upgrade to non-AFS HID. AFS probably has to tap into the steering and speed sensors...

Good luck!

You also need the electronics to control the AFS. In the end, it may be easier to trade it in for a 350.

you could always just put some HID bulbs in the halogen housings, go with a softer light like 4300k so you dont blind anyone, i did that in my scion and it works great

Its easier if you go with non-AFS headlights. Mainly you would just need the housings and a HID kit. The dealer will not help you do this unless you know someone on the side.
