i have the performance package. They say it feels better in the corners, but if there was a difference it would be a very slight difference. or at least thats all i can feel.
the shiftable tranny is interesting. be prepared to feel the shift about 3 seconds after you push the lever LOL. its pretty cool i guess but it doesnt have to listen to you. Lets say your under hard acceleration, your in 2nd gear, you change it 3rd, if your pushing hard enough it will stay in 2nd gear for as much as 6 seconds before it wants to change.

Of the 18 SUV's done by Consumers Reports, RX350 is 3rd followed by MDX.
First is Highlander Hybrid and second is RX400h.
I think actual wording on critique of BMW as "most unintuitive" struck me,
considering the size and depth of BMW engineering.

Easy to make claims, but unless you can back up them with indepedent data, no one SHOULD believe you.

I dropped my RX for A.C noise repair and Lexus give me 2007 RX 350 with 10K.
as a loan car.
I drove over 100miles and try to compare with my 2004 RX, the point below is what i base only 2 cars that i gave the RX 2007 all 100 points first.
[I]RX 2007
Handing: Handing better then mine (the tire still have a lot of tread) mine only 1/4 left.
A.C: very quiet, you don't even hear when the fan kick in and really cold air when i set 69 degree.
Wind noise/Cabin noise: Still hear this but better then mine.
Engine: very powerfull and quiet.
Transmission: hahaha...still have some lag but it seems the delay very short if you never had this problem with your 04, 05 you would not notice it.
Exterior/interior: Almost all the same
Compare to My RX 2004:
Handing: 89 points
A.C: 68 point (so noise)
Wind noise/Cabin noise: 80 point
Engine: 85 point
Transmission: 88 point
Exterior/Interior: 96 point
Is this worth to upgrade to RX 350? I really don't want to pay more over 15K to get new one yet. I may wait until the 2009 release but in the other hand i'm afraid about the first year of redesigning.

That is because you claim RX350 has higher than Lexus' official mpg #s but failed to provide the picture you promised. You also claim 2007 RX350 has taken the new EPA fuel standard but also failed to provide an indepedent link.
Easy to make claims, but unless you can back up them with indepedent data, no one SHOULD believe you.

This obviously wasn't enough proof for you so I'll scan that window sticker in. I keep forgetting to do that.
By the way, did you see that the MDX is rated 15/20 under the new EPA system? Just as I predicted.

I drove the X5 before buying the RX. I found the X5 to be a wart hog for acceleration--could not get out of its own way. I had it floored all the time trying to get up to speed. And the X5, in my opinion, handled the corners very poorly. It always felt like it was about to break loose. I figured that to overcome the poor acceleration, the X5 would have needed the larger engine than standard, which added another ~$10 K to the mix over the RX.
