Yes, same problem with our 07 RX. I was blaming it on dry skin and going to the doctor for meds. Thanks for sharing this story!

I had the same problem, I had called the dealership to ask if they know what it may be and of course the service person said, "evap core". I didnt even have to tell him, on the contrare, I called headquarters, they were perplexed. Dealer exchanged the core and no problems since except they were nice enough to mar my interior taking out the dashboard. In process to get that repaired now. Get them to fix it, covered by lexus.. PRESS them, you will win!

I've been getting those small white flecks in my '07 which I attributed to facial tissue residue. Every time you pull one of those things out of the box a cloud of white particles comes with it.

I want to compare them to ccds's pics, but clicking the Picasa gallery displays an error message that the user has no public album.

ccds, can you check this please?

I am having the evaporator replaced as I type this. Bought the car a month ago and had white dust immediately. Will take 2 days. Got an ES as a loaner...sweet car!

I just found this board. I bot a CPO'd 2006 RX330 in May of 2009 that was exactly 3 years old (just off a 3 year lease). So it's now 4.5 years old with 31500 miles. I also bot the Lexus Certified Platinum Warranty till 2015 as well (since I won't hit 100,000 miles until about then, if even).

Anyway, I've had the "dust" problem since we got it but like you all assumed it was kleenex or my wife's makeup (she's is the primary driver). Now that I know about this, I WANT IT FIXED! Will my coverage cover that? Just wondering out loud.

No harm in trying to get it done by Lexus. Go for it.

Don't hold your breath on this. It's not a safety issue, just a minor incovenience.

^^+1 You are right. Unless you have spent a ton of money with the delaership other than warranty, the answer is as simple as warranty is up and it is not covered.

Been there done that.

Even if the vehicle were under warranty, the basic question needs to be answered, "Is the HVAC system not functioning (a/c and heating) correctly?" If the HVAC works as its supposed to, what's to fix? "Dust" particles which pose no health threats? Despite Lexus' "Pursuit of Perfection", we all know, it ain't perfect.

Definitely some DEAD skin in the air.

Seriously they say it is the coating they applied to the evaporator coils to prevent bacteria from collecting (thereby giving the freeking foul smell).
