Default help with rims

hi all!

just found this forum and wanted some advice. i've just brought an 04 rx330 and want to upgrade the wheels to something bigger. i know that 20" wheels will fit but wanted to find out if 22" will go on? if so, could someone give me the offset and tyre size. i think the tyre will be 265/35/22? will post pictures when i have them on.
does anyone on here have 22" rims that they could show me.

many thanks

william

22"s will fit search here several users have them, they key is to find a narrow 9.0 or 9.5 rim so it doesnt rub

I'll try to post a pic of the whole car later, but this is what I have on my rx330. I think they are 22x8.5. 35 series tires. No rubbing problems. They are for sale if your intrested, I'm flexible. G/L

stil need to trim the front studs as they are longer than oe so the centre caps will not fit at the moment. the ride as been ok but the 265/35/22 tyres seem to hum on the motorway. will find out if the noise will go away in time, will post some better pics when the rx is washed.

does anyone know what psi i should run the tires at?

Masterwah, wow - I really like the styling of those wheels - great choice. What are the width and offset specs? They appear to stick out quite a bit from the fender lines....necessary I'm sure to run those 265's.

I would recommend at least 33psi on those tires, if not more. I ran 38psi on my old SUV. Granted, it was a heavier vehicle, but I ran 285/45 tires. You don't have much sidewall there and you want to give it as much protection as possible. The penalty, of course, is ride quality, but you knew that was going to happen when deciding on those big hoops.

the rims are ace coo1's 9.5x22 et18

i'll try 33psi. the ride is pretty soft because my wife drove the rx today and did not notice much difference in ride but did notice that with 265's the tire noise was louder, but hey!!! she was happy with it. if i were to choose 22's again for everyday use then i would recommend to other owners.
