Read the Owner's Manual at least 2x and you will learn so much about your new car.

Because the passenger side mirror is convex, it appears to tilt less, but both tilt to about the same degree. The driver's side mirror is about right for looking at what your back wheel is about to back over or scrape, but is far to low to give you any info on what's behind you. That's why I seldom use the tilting feature.

I normally turn the tilt feature off. Once I left it on and the minute I hit reverse, it tilted and almost hit something in the back, could not see it. When you need it, switch it on.

I've installed a couple of those small convex mirros. They help a bunch when backing up/parking/passing. The tilt feature is nice, but really doesn't do that much. I leave it on to impress passengers.

I have them on, too, those convex mirrors. The point is how to convince the wife to utilize it, or at least for her to understand how to use it.

Wow, this is so cool! I didn't know you could turn the tilt on & off. My driveway slopes down and with the tilt on, I can't see the street. Now I can turn this off. Love it.
