jerky starts? uh worse then the rx330? i seriously doubt that. i drove an rx350 for a few weeks and the car is much better power wise i dont get how it can be sensitive. cars like the G35, audi S4, bmw 335i, etc all have a much more sensitive "pedal". i wonder if going from the extra 50 hp in the rx350 makes it seem that way?

So I want to do something special for my mom. I was looking at the 1999 RX300, but I found out, my likes the current body style the best.
Looking at my budget, it seems the Rx330 in the 2004 model is my best bet. I never never owned a suv, or a fwd lexus product. Are there any issues I should be aware? Are the tranny/v6 motors reliable? My mom drives about 15K a year, and keeps cars for about 10 years.
I am looking at used. I am shopping at Keyes, Thousand Oaks, Santa Monica, Valencia, and Jim Falk lexus dealerships.
Appreciate the help. Will be pulling trigger by Friday.

RX330 is an excellent car. I'm more than sure your mom is not going to run races with teenagers on the 1/4 miles, so RX300 / RX330 will be more than enough power for her. RX330 body style does look much nicer and inside the interior has more options. Get RX330, your mom will love the car!

I can give you one reason to choose 330 over 350: the price difference of as much as 10K. You can find a nice clean RX330 with decent miles for mid 20's, but 350's are sold for low-mid 30's.
