Cabin Air Filter Replacement
I would recommend using DENSO brand replacement air filters. DENSO is OE on a lot of Lexus parts and they make great filters. You can look up the part number at densoaftermarket.com.

The OEM is a Denso. Good pricing from our CL vendors, can not beat the price. Why settle for aftermarket when you can get the original?

Some RX300 owners have made their own by going to buy material over at Home Depot, some kind of furnace filter material. Last time I checked one of these cabin filters cost like $15 USD at the dealer.

Thanks for your reply, btw yours was the correct way of doing it.I installed the K&N filter and the engine is definitely breathing better. The reason I used K&N is because I had also very good results in my BMW.Thanks to all who responded to my question.

This might not be a bad idea..some of the high efficiency filters will work. And if they are cheap enough, then replacements can be more frequent. I need to shop around next time. Also, it will allow more air movement because the pressure drop is less, assuming you will get a filter with less resistance.
