modding your rx
I was just wondering how many rx owners in here wanted to mod their rx like putting a lips kit on, also how old are you guy just want to see what range of age of RX owner. And last and not least location are you at and what gender.
Since this my thread let me start this first.
Age: 30
Mod: yes

Voted, and I'll post too.
39...but not for long.
yes
Northern California.
As much as I love the RX, it is tough seeing so many of them on the road. I want to be a little different, but subtly so...and without damaging the integrity of or aesthetically taking away from the vehicle. Thus far I have the TC grille, yanked crossbars, a mild drop, and a debadged cargo door. Next week I should have wheels and tires, and a few weeks after that a body color-matched roof spoiler. At that point, I really think I'll be done...at least for the exterior.

I'll add I'm married with nearly a 4 year old as well.
For me, I just enjoy working on the cars. The final outcome is just a bonus. Now that I have a son it gives us something to do together.
My ultimate goal for the RX330 was air suspension, rims, Wald body kit, full A/V system, and some mild performance mods. In the end, I only had Eibach springs, 20" rims, color matched body under body moldings and hatch spoiler, full Alpine A/V system and no performance mods, and removed roof racks. I sold the car about 6 months ago.

Between 40 and 50....
Yes I want a subtle-distinct mod, enough to say, mine is different.

By the varying age and being that so far I'm among the youngest even at 35, it is clear to see that modding doesn't have much to do with age. You either enjoy doing it or you don't. Doesn't matter what car, what age. It is like a hobby. Some go fishing, some go bowling, some to go the garage and parts store

Nah, I'm the youngest @ 25 soon to be 26.
I see at least 1 RX330 or (once a week) RX350 everyday, and I feel that there's a need to differentiate my car from those other ones. Today, I was walking to my car while trying to unlock it without avail, and it wasn't until I noticed the license frame and the lack of chrome door handles, that I realized that I was at the wrong car. My car was a couple spots further down.
The most I'd to the car is putting 20s on it. And I've seen only one black RX with 20s.

Of the current Lexus fleet I think it's the toughest vehicle to mod. You can make the IS, GS, and LS even sexier than stock, and just by throwing a set of wheels on the truck-based SUV's you're definitely making a statement. With the RX...and ES for that matter...it's not so easy. I'm having fun with it, but I'm trying to be careful not to go overboard.

I expect as time goes by we will see a lot of excellent and creative modifications from this generation of RXs much like I have seen in my generation. I have seen some great modifications to 2nd gen. RXs in my 2 copies of HyperRev magazine.
