Default New Shoes

I finally decided to replace the OEM 18" Goodyear RSA's on my 04 RX330. I had 35k on them and they were getting pretty noisy. The thread depth was down to about 4/32. I put on the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenzas. What an impressive upgrade. Much less body roll in the corners, much quieter, much better handling. Wish I had done this sooner.

Now I really wonder why Lexus didn't OEM these tires. They are so much better then the Goodyears.

Can I ask what size are those tires? They look wider than stock.

I've heard nothing but awesome things about that tire - great choice. It looks good with the sidewall shined up too. Just this morning I was talking with a guy at the gas station - he has an '07 Escalade running the same tires.

While they are the same size as the Goodyears, 235/55/18, they have a tread width of 7.7" as compared to the Goodyears 6.5".

i dont like how bridgestone put those shapes around the side of the tire in a pattern. if they looked like the michelines or the goodyears, i would buy them in a second. im on my third set of tires (im at 70K just now) but i think the car will be out of my hands by the time the car needs new ones.

Bridgestones (not the Dueler H/L Alenzas) are OEM in Australia for RX350's. My experience with Bridgestones has almost always been positive (except for one set on another car that squealed a lot)

Now that the Alenzas are finally available again I'm trying to squeeze my Michelins for another 1200 miles next week before swapping. Tread is pretty thin at 44K, but weather will be clear (at last) for a long business trip that will probably be their last. I look forward to the change some new shoes will bring.

Great photo! I drive on the same set and I must say these are great tires. The Michelin's are just has to much of an all season feel to them. Meaning the do a lot of things good as opposed to doing several things great. The Bridgestones have a real positive feel to them while driving. I use to work in the tire industry doing marketing for another Japanese tire manufacturer. Bridgestone has also been an industry leader in tire technology especially in high performance tires.

Good pickup! Michelin for 17" if I recall correctly. At least it was for my old RX330

What tire pressure do you run in yours? I'm looking for the optimum now and have them all at 33 so far.

That's Meguiar's Hot Shine. One very thin application.

Did you consider the 255 size? I am on the fence between 235 or 255.
