I finally got my car back! The TSIB was AC001-06.

The A/C discharge hose and A/C compressor hub was replaced.

So, far so good. I haven't heard the noise!

That's right. One TSB is for the Hose and the other for the compressor, if I am not mistaken. Or maybe the 06 covered both. I have seen more than one TSB for the groan and moan.

Thanks for the TSB info. My dealer took the car in and gave me a loaner. They ordered a new compressor and will install it tomorrow morning.

I had another issue with wind noise. When I closed the driver door window it would result in lots of wind noise. If I would just tap the window down button the noise would go away. They are replacing that too. That is covered under another TSB.

I gave them my wife's key and it wouldnt operate the doors. She never drives the RX. The battery was ok so they gave me a new key.

Now here is something I noticed. I'm driving the 08 RX350 loaner with 8k miles. I hate it. It is really bouncy and jumpy compared to the smooth ride I get in my 04. This model has the 17" Michelin tires and they are properly inflated. They must have changed the suspension and it is no where near as smooth a ride. It's not a sport feel either. It is just a nervous up and down jumpy ride. If I had test driven this car i would have walked. The transmission is also very jerky. I sure hope they don't let prospective buyers drive this car.

It's a quiet car though. I think they have an acoustic windshield in this model and I don't think I have that in my 04

No one at this dealership has any info whatsoever on the 09 RX so far. They speculate it will be a spring release.

When did you notice the AC noise? or how can I make sure mine doesn't have that issue. My RX also included in the VIN #.

I first noticed it when driving around 45 mph and removing my foot from the gas to coast a bit. The RPM dropped to around 1200 and then I could hear it. If I gave it a bit more gas it would go away as the FPM passed around 1300. After that I noticed I could make it happen any time by bringing the RPM to 1100, even in park. It is a subtle moan or growl noise. Sometimes it is soft and at other times it is very noticeable.

Thanks a bunch. Do you have to have the AC on Auto or HIGH to notice the noise?
