Hello all,
I like my GS so much, I am thinking of upgrading my Aviator to a CPO RX 330.
My biggest question is, do you still love your RX as much as the day you drove it off the lot.
Thanks,

YES. I bought mine CPO and have only had it about five months now. The actual "honeymoon" is over, but I still pamper it. I used to be very gentle on the accelerator, but now I drive it like I've owned it or five years. Again, I still pamper it--regular washings and vacuuming, covering it at the airport, etc.
Oh yeah, I still park at the far end of any parking lot to avoid dings. I'd rather walk a longer distance than to be on the receiving end of a dreaded door ding!

AM1 not giving his comment is commendable!!!!!! We do not want people to be discouraged. And yet, he has valid claims.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, whether it is good or bad or somewhere in between is all subjective. It's like my recommending a classic Vocho or VW Beetle down here, granted they break a lot, but every mechanic here knows how to fix one and parts are cheap.

As much as I loved my '00 RX 300, I prefer my current '04 RX 330. Coming out of a series of truck-based SUV's, the Lexus was a revelation. They have been as trouble-free as they have been comfortable, and make a nimble urban hauler as well as a comfortable long distance runner. I made a 400 mile (each way) business trip from Houston to Wichita Falls last week, actually beating the airline schedule, at far lower cost, and with far better accommodations than any commuter airline can offer. I finished the 7 hour run through open interstate, heavy rush hour traffic and country roads arriving fresh at my destination. Two days later I reversed my course, leaving after lunch with a client and arriving home in time for dinner. Try that on puddle-jump airlines.
The difference between an RX and the truck-based Navigator will amaze you. While the 'gator is about as refined as it can be, it is still a Ford F150 at heart. A Suburban or even an Escalade is still a Chevy pickup. These vehicles, no matter how slathered with soundproofing, leather and soft springs, still remind you of their lineage - often at inappropriate times. You'll find the size, economy, and dare I say, nimbleness of the RX 330 make it a much more practical highway ride without giving up comfort out on the road. With the turning circle issues of the RX 300 resolved, the RX 330 is an excellent daily driver and weekend hauler that doesn't exact a recurring penalty at the gas pump. IMHO, an RX would be an excellent complement to your GS.

i do. mine is 4 1/2 yrs old now and i still love it. granted it's not my daily driver anymore -- if it was, it is possible i would be getting bored by now (only b/c that's the way i am, not becuase of the car), but it was my daily driver for about 3 years. it still looks new and runs great. i did have to do a lot of TSBs given it was built at launch, but i've been diligent about that and it's paid off.
overall it's a great car and it gets the job done, no matter what i ask it to do. i have the fully loaded one w/ AWD , nav/ML and RSES so i have never regretted getting it or feeling like i wish i would have had something. i have never had a car this long, so i think that says a lot about the RX in general.

My wife drive's our '05 330 and comments EVERY DAY how much she loves her car. No back-up camera or Nav system but that is fine. We bought a TomTom GPS system and it works great.
The car has been trouble free for over two years and is very enjoyable on long trips. Our eight hour trip to the Outer Banks was a joy with great stereo and a great ride.
I would definetly buy one again.

Ok, I resisted to make a testimonial, but I am giving in. The wife loves the RX330. I like it. I like pampering it. No NAV, no ML, but just the same, we appreciate it. Now, do I like a 350 better, heck yeah!

Dare I say, that we actually love it more. It's my daily commuter, we use it for long hauls rather than the IS (which is a blast to drive). We've had zero problems, fuel mileage has been surprisingly excellent, comfort can't be beat, and the reliability has been outstanding. After these 2+ years and over 25k miles, I still park it where we avoid door dings (and we've been successful - no scratches), I still like to look back on the RX after parking and still marvel at the lines, and the color. Yup, we still love it and even more than when we drove it off the lot. It will be a sad day when we part with it, but we are looking forward to the new RX’s – maybe the second model year of the 3rd generation will finally be the one that displaces our 05.

I love the car...very quiet and comfortable for long trips. I have the 05' Rx330 AWD and let me tell you the only complain I have is going to the dealer to get a lot TSIB's done. Funny part is...everyone at the dealer knows me by now. I now have a friend relationship with all the mechanics!

I will hold on to my 04 330's long enough to consider the 2012 RX's (available mid-2011). By then, they have fully de-bugged the new series and have gone into minor model change (like the 07 and 08). How's that for planning?

When are you getting your RX? Which color are you leaning on?
