Pardon my ignorance. Special circumstances certainly do justify special treatments.

I still would get nitrogen at sea level and in a better environment, reason being the tires themselves have lasted longer in terms of their tread and they have a more even wear than the ones I used air on, and I now drive a lot more miles every week than when I first moved down here and worked at a place closer to my home.

I wonder if Costco will allow me to pump Nitrogen in my tires. They have a service where they check your tire pressure and pump it up, free of charge. I would like to get Nitrogen in all my cars. I will try tonight.

As for the Nitrogen thing, it was pointed out to me that since there is no moisture in Nitrogen, that there is less moisture to rot out the inside of the tire, thus making the tire last longer. Since Nitrogen is more dense then air, the Nitrogen will push itself to the outside of the tire and thus taking any air that is left and forcing the more moist air to the center of the wheel, also keeping that moisture from the rubber.

Do you have a lot of problem with moisture rotting out the inside of your tires. Usually, the thead on my tires wears out b 4 that happens.
