Lexus Toyota
I get my oil changes done on my RX350 at the Toyota Dealer. No problems. And at 1/3 of the cost of Lexus service.
The only time I have run into problems. Was when I went the Toyota dealer accross the street from the Lexus local dealer. And they said they couldnt do the oil change. So I went my local Toyota dealer about 10 miles away.
Alll warranty work I take it back to Lexus. I have had the car almost 30 months. And only took it back once for a broken AC Vent. The little adjusting plastic piece just fell apart.
Wish I could say the same thing about my last brand new Ford truck, Jeep and Chevy.

Someone who has some common sense. Salimshah said it about right, without directly making fun of anyone here. If glendale lexus refuses to just do the oil change give lexus HQ a call and tell them what the dealer told you. My RX330 is npow near 37K, i've never done anything more then oil changes every 7K or so and i only do oil changes at outside independent places. All the warranty work i needed my local dealer has done them. they tried to insist that i do the mainteneance there i said "NO WAY" and they just dropped it. screw dealers who make ish up.

This is a CA Parts house that while some of the prices are very good I would have to pay cross country shipping to VA.
If you are from CA it may be worth a look. The oil filter price was $6.50 + $ shipping. You may be closer but will have to pay tax in CA too.

One reason can be that good cabin filters are more than just filtering material - they can contain activated charcoal to absorb odors and other "stuff". A plain vanilla filter without any activated charcoal merely filters out dust and other debris.

I just got the air filter and cabin filter at the Auto Zone around the corner from my house, The air filter is a Fram and was $15, it looked about the same as the denso that came out, the cabin filter is an STP and was $21 and looked much better than the one that came out. Oil change and tire rotation service yesterday at the Toyota dealer $60. They only charge for 5 qts oil but always fill it up with the 6. whatever qts required of 5w-30.

The Toyota/Lexus cabin filter has charcoal in it to fend off unwanted smellsf and absorb hydrocarbons from vehicle exhaust. That might be why it's more expensive. I replaced mine with a MicronAir brand, and it doesn't have charcoal in it. Next time I'm going with the Toyota/Lexus filter.
Never thought to check to see what the Toyota dealer charges for one. I did order a FRAM engine air filter for $34 CDN (from Canadian Tire). It didn't fit properly. Returned it and picked up a filter from Toyota for $27. Perfect fit and a factory part.
