I always use the mid-grade (Unleaded plus). I rotate between Shell and Chevron only. Once in a while I give her a treat....Premium unleaded.

Yep stick with top gas brands--My go to gas is always Chevron, but i will go Shell as well. Our baby always gets Premium as thats what stated in the manual for optimal performance. Plus it only cost what--less than $2 bucks per fill up if you go with premium.

Use whatever grade the manual specifies. As far as brands are concerned, for the best protection against carbon build-up, use a top tier fuel. A list of stations is available at http://www.toptiergas.com.

i use chevron only, only

i also use premium 91 octane, which is the highest over here. theres a lot of confusion as to which grade to use, but i figure there has to be a little difference if its more expensive. if it is good for my car, then the extra dollar is worth it. you cant even buy a cup of coffee with that saved money these days.

I use Chevron premium , it is highly recommended for my Corvette C-6 so I figured it would be good enough for the old Lexus .

Mileage appears to be around 22 combined city/highway (actually it is about 60% city) with almost 3,000 miles on the vehicle.

Thanks for all the tips.......

Looks like I have to start going to Chevron, if i couldn't locate it ... goto shell!

22mpg Combined City/Hwy sounds good to me!

On my first fill(done be dealer), i am currently at 21.4 mpg!

I was surprised for one thing; I did 100miles of HWY and my fuel indicator didn't drop from Full position; finally at 135 miles its already at 75%

I'd also recommend Chevron for daily driving, though ever since my teens I would (and would still when I get back to the U.S.) use Sunoco for track/racing events. Shell is a close second to Chevron for daily use and has really improved their formulas within about the past 2 years.

Top tier gasoline is gasoline that has specific standards for quality, including enough detergent to keep all intake valves clean. The standards were developed by the four automobile manufacturers, including BMW, General Motors, Honda, and Toyota. Top-tier gasoline exceeds the quality standards developed by the World Wide Fuel Charter (WWFC) that was established in 2002 by vehicle and engine manufacturers. The gasoline companies that agreed to make fuel that matches or exceeds the standards as a top-tier fuel include Chevron Texaco and Conoco Phillips.
