You might also try calling Lexus corporate. I've heard them allowing a replacement of the HIDs on (relatively recently) out of warranty 2nd Gen GSs

Mine had condensation 3 weeks after warranty expired. Dealer did not do sqaut for me. Tried the Lexus Corporate....turned down, too.

Sucks doesnt it?

So, I am scouting for a set so I can replace the darn thing. The procedure to change it is quite engaging. The whole bumper has to be taken off because the 3rd bolt is behind it.

I just bought an 05 rx330 with 35K miles on it. The warranty is good until Aug/09. Before we bought the car I noticed the condensation and called the lexus dealer to confirm that it was covered. I have an appt on tuesday to get it replaced. I am curious if there is a difference and if I should try to get both replaced.

They will replace the one that is damaged. Although, I have heard of other who got their pair replaced.

Some have tried to intentionally make them to have condensation...getting a hose and spraying the headlights....

Anyway good luck and let us know how you make out.

Its official. Every single Lexus I have owned has had condensation in the headlights. My 93 SC400 was pretty bad. My 94 ES300 also had it. My RX330 had it. The only car that didn't have it was my 99 LS400. Then I sold it to my friend, then it started to show condensation a little while later. So I am 4 for 4 on Lexus headlights with condensation. Funny thing is people always say it is common among many cars that use plastic vented headlights. I do believe this to be true, but I have never had condensation in my Acura, Honda and BMW ever. Heck, even my 95 Camry doesn't have any condensation in the headlights. They all use similar vented plastic headlights. What going on with Lexus and their headlights?

I just got off the phone with lexus and they have comfirmed that I am getting both headlights replaced under warranty. There was no condensation visible when I took them in. I told them to wash it and they should see it in at least one of them. This was my first service experience with lexus and so far I am very pleased.
