Just wondering...has anyone ever had a problem with their RX (mine is a 2004 RX 330) when theyre accelerating (usually happens from stop to go) and RPMs are going a little higher to get you going...but Im not a leadfoot so I dont gun the pedal or anything at all...or going up slight hills/inclines...I hear a slight scratching or pinging sound--Im not sure how to describe it but it almost sounds like metal on metal scraping against each other...

Has anyone else experienced this??

i hear it. it happens during low speeds right? and like your stopped on a steep kill, and then you gas from a stop, and it sounds like the car is having a hard time going up? yeh, metal scraping on metal sounds about right. i hear it everyday because my driveway is a hill, so coming out of it every morning (in reverse) is killer.

i assume its normal since i have it too...lets hope so at least

definitely not normal. check viscosity and oil level.

err. its been like this from day 1 i think. also, i bring my car to lexus for service religiously every 5K miles, so i doubt it has to do with oil.

I have 29K miles on my 04 RX 330...and Im bringing it in for 30K service tomorrow, so will see what the mechanic says.
